The place where Eagles land – Bush Stoep Game Lodge is a fully self-catering lodge perfectly situated on the border of the Makalali Game Reserve in the Limpopo Provence 70km from Tzaneen and 80km from Phalaborwa, Kruger National Park Gate. Overlooking the majestic Drakensberg mountain range the Lodge has many activities and day excursions available in the area.  Enjoy game drives at a nearby lodge where you can view the Big 5, go hot air ballooning and horse riding, but booking is essential. Bourkes’ Luck Potholes, Blyde River Canyon, Echo Caves, Kapama Cheetah Farm, Mighty Baobab Tree are all waiting to be discovered by you.

We have an abundance of wildlife on the 1000ha farm and you’re sure to encounter them during your stay.

Our sparkling swimming pool give …… from hot summer days and the dam  is perfect for a day of fishing. Spend your evening under the stars in our boma area and wind down from the city routine.

Universally accessible

All our facilities are disabled friendly and we are one of the very few places in South Africa where the physically challenged can feel truly free. Even if confined to a wheelchair, you’ll be able to enjoy game drives, fishing and the use of our hoist-configured swimming pool and Jacuzzi. All of our chalets and cottages are equipped for wheelchairs and our friendly staff is trained to assist you with getting in and out of game vehicles, helicopters and planes.

Bushstoep has a private airstrip and you can charter with plane from Johannesburg, landing at the lodge 2 hours later.
